- Small bumps at the injection points are normal and usually settle within a day.
- Avoid touching the area and makeup for 12–24 hours.
- Avoid exercise, saunas and alcohol for 24 hours.
- Avoid facials, peels and laser treatments for two weeks.
- Wear SPF daily to protect your skin.

Frequently asked
Is Profhilo a filler?
No. Filler adds volume and shape, whereas Profhilo spreads beneath the skin to hydrate it and improve its quality. You'll look refreshed, not different.
Does it hurt?
Most people find it very manageable. The injections are very fine, and numbing cream can be applied beforehand to keep you as comfortable as possible.
How many sessions will I need?
Two sessions, four weeks apart, followed by a top-up around every six months to maintain your results.
When will I see results?
Many people notice their skin looking more hydrated within a couple of weeks. Results are usually at their best around four weeks after your second session.
Can it be used on the neck and hands?
Yes. As well as the face, Profhilo can be used on the neck, décolletage and hands. Amna can talk you through the options at your consultation.
Are there any side effects?
Small bumps at the injection points, mild redness, swelling or tenderness are common and usually settle within a day or two. Bruising is possible. Amna will discuss all risks with you before treatment.
Is it suitable for everyone?
It isn't suitable if you're pregnant or breastfeeding, under 18, or have an active skin infection or cold sore in the area. Some medical conditions may need extra care, so Amna will check your medical history at your consultation.
How much does Profhilo cost?
