Looking after yourself
- Some swelling or bruising is normal and usually settles within a few days.
- Avoid touching or massaging the area for 24 hours, unless Amna advises otherwise.
- Avoid makeup on the area for 12 hours.
- Avoid exercise, saunas and alcohol for 24–48 hours.
- Avoid sunbeds and extreme heat or cold for two weeks.

Should I choose 1ml or 2ml?
1ml is a lovely subtle lift, while 2ml gives a more noticeable result across both cheeks. Amna will recommend the right amount at your consultation.
Can cheek filler help other lines?
Often, yes. Lifting the cheeks can soften nasolabial folds and the under-eye area, as the cheeks support the rest of the face.
When will I see results?
You'll see a difference straight away. Some swelling is normal at first, and your final result settles after around two weeks.
How long does it last?
Results typically last around twelve to eighteen months.
Does it hurt?
Most people find it very manageable. Numbing cream is applied first, and most fillers contain a local anaesthetic, so the area becomes numb as treatment goes on.
Is it suitable for everyone?
By law, dermal filler can't be given to anyone under 18. It also isn't suitable if you're pregnant or breastfeeding, have an infection in the area, or have an allergy to any of the ingredients. Amna will check your medical history first.
