Looking after yourself
- Some swelling or bruising is normal and usually settles within a few days.
- Avoid touching or massaging the area for 24 hours, unless Amna advises otherwise.
- Avoid makeup on the area for 12 hours.
- Avoid exercise, saunas and alcohol for 24–48 hours.
- Avoid sunbeds and extreme heat or cold for two weeks.

Frequently asked
Will it look like I've had filler?
No. The aim is to soften the lines, not remove them completely, so your face still looks natural and moves as it should.
Why might Amna suggest cheek filler?
As the cheeks lose volume, they can deepen these folds. Sometimes a little cheek filler gives a more natural result than treating the lines alone.
When will I see results?
You'll see a difference straight away. Some swelling is normal at first, and your final result settles after around two weeks.
How long does it last?
Results typically last around six to twelve months, as this area moves a lot when we talk and smile.
Does it hurt?
Most people find it very manageable. Numbing cream is applied first, and most fillers contain a local anaesthetic, so the area becomes numb as treatment goes on.
Is it suitable for everyone?
By law, dermal filler can't be given to anyone under 18. It also isn't suitable if you're pregnant or breastfeeding, have an infection in the area, or have an allergy to any of the ingredients. Amna will check your medical history first.
